ASPC European Continental Forum 2026 - Portugal
The 2026 ASPC European Continental Forum will bring together leading representatives of the European high-performance sport ecosystem in Rio Maior, Portugal, one of Europe’s recognised environments for elite athlete development and sport innovation. Organised in collaboration with the Rio Maior Sports Centre, the Forum will create a strategic platform for dialogue, collaboration, and knowledge exchange among high-performance centres, National Olympic Committees, sport scientists, coaches, performance specialists, and institutional leaders from across the continent.
The Forum program has been designed to address some of the most relevant topics currently shaping the future of European elite sport, including governance and certification of training centres, leadership and sustainable performance systems, research and innovation, Paralympic sport, dual careers, and athlete-centred development models. As Europe continues preparing for the challenges and opportunities leading towards the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, the Forum will foster strategic conversations focused on strengthening cooperation, accelerating innovation, and enhancing the long-term sustainability of high-performance sport systems across the continent.
