The Rio Maior Stadium is the ideal venue for athletes and teams from all over the world, with a renewed athletics track and a turf of excellence for football.
Our stadium is the usual choice for the Portugal national youth football teams and clubs from all over the world. Currently the professional team Vilafranquense uses our stadium for official games and training sessions.
The stadium has all conditions for the public, now with individual seats for spectators. Recently, around 3000 chairs were installed for greater comfort, allowing a better organization of the public. There are now 3500 chaired seats, in a total of 6500 covered seats.
The athletics track has recently received an intervention on the surface, corresponding now to the training requirements of triathletes, race walkers or athletes from many athletics disciplines.
Some of the best athletes in Brazil have trained here before the success at the Tokyo Olympic Games. This track is also widely used by triathletes, like the Norwegian triathlete Kristian Blummenfelt as a prominent example, who achieved Gold in Tokyo.
