ASPC community gathers in Rio Maior for 2026 European Continental Forum

Rio Maior, Portugal | 23–25 September 2026

The Rio Maior Sports Centre hosted the 2026 ASPC European Continental Forum, bringing together colleagues from Europe and beyond to exchange knowledge, strengthen connections and discuss the future of high-performance sport.

The week also marked several leadership appointments. At the ASPC European Continental Meeting on 23 September, Léonore Perrus of INSEP was elected ASPC Vice President for Europe. At the XXIII ASPC General Assembly, Iván Rodríguez Ramallo OLY of CAR Sant Cugat was appointed ASPC Secretary General, while Fiona de Jong of AIS Italy was elected ASPC Executive Vice President.

ASPC thanks Miguel Pacheco, Susana Feitor OLY, Hugo Dinis and the entire organising committee for their work in delivering the Forum. We also thank every speaker and participant for the ideas and perspectives they shared. The association extends special recognition to Debbie Low and Josep Escoda Saloni for their years of service on the ASPC Board of Directors. Their dedication has helped the association grow and has strengthened its international community.
